Ironically I was home in NYC when Bishop Bonner passed away this weekend. For Easter this year I decided to take my entire family home to NYC so that all my aunts and uncles, cousins and grandma could see my new baby girl. While out shopping I received the text message around 2:39 PM that Bishop had passed. Bishop Bonner was my Pastor twice. Once in NYC at the Mother church and second at the Columbia Church. I can remember him laying hands on me and telling me to “fill my mouth with praise” or he’d say “tell Jesus I love you”. Then he would spin me around and I’d be carried off by the altar workers. Hahahaha, I laugh to myself because those “Bonner” prayer lines were legendary in their own right. Im going to miss him conducting those 6 AM prayers at the convention.  I am so glad I got to sit under his leadership and am a part of the generation that knew him first hand. I can tell you this man believed in the Apostolic doctrine! From his mouth to my ears he taught on holiness, separation from the world, he taught on the dress code of the Saints, women preachers, marriage and divorce with a living spouse and who can forget the positive thinking series which impacted my life along with many others. There was no subject he didnt touch on and for that Im thankful.  Im sad, but I rejoice knowing that I will see him again.

The idea of God’s chosen people being in the minority is not new. From a biblical Old Testament standpoint, God’s chosen Nation was Israel. This is still the case today. The good news is we gentiles have been grafted into this chosen nation by water baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Yet, there still remains a minority of chosen people. In my research today, I was curious to know what percentages of Jews are on the earth today. Here are some statistics I found.

  • 31.5% of the world’s population is Christian.
  • 23.2% of the world’s population is Muslim.
  • 0.2% of the world’s population is Jewish (God’s chosen people from the beginning).

Two words come to mind when I think of God and The Elect. “Minority” & “Separation”. God knew the majority would never follow Him. His plan of salvation is for ALL but only a minority has chosen to accept it. Out of the minority that has accepted it, He commands us to live separated and consecrated lives before Him. Jesus Himself taught that broad and wide would lead to destruction and MANY are on that road. The Straight and Narrow path that leads to everlasting life only has a few people traveling on that road.

So what about Muslims attacking Jews (who are physically clearly in the minority)? Well, put yourself in the shoes of Satan. If you hated God, wouldn’t you want to destroy the very thing He chose to be His people? Wouldn’t you want to destroy the blood line that Jesus the only Savior was born from? Wouldn’t you want to snuff out and reverse the very nation that was offered eternal life? This is exactly the reason why this ongoing war is happening. This is a spiritual war that is manifesting itself in the natural realm. The bigger picture is spiritual. To eradicate Gods people in hopes of everyone joining Satan in hells fire and brimstone.

Today, thank God for the truth. Thank God for spiritually being part of the chosen people. Thank God you’re in the minority. Thank God that you’ve taken a stand to walk with Gods elect. Our doctrine on holiness and separation from the world is not mans idea but Gods. Delight in it. As we continue toward the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the heat is about to be turned up in the kitchen. Just remember, He that endures until the end, the same shall be saved. Be faithful until death, and God is going to give you a crown of life.

More Proof Jesus Is God

I love the WORD!

So listen, while John was in prison, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he was the one they have been looking for. Lets read Luke 7:20-22

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

 NOTICE, Jesus did not say YES or NO. Instead Jesus crafted his words wisely knowing  that John knew his the old testament scriptures very well, and that when John heard that statement, he would instantly know that Jesus was indeed God manifest in flesh, the one that should come. Here is the proof.  Go with me to Isaiah 35:4-6

 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

I love it! Isaiah clearly says that God will come and that the eyes of the blind will be open, and the ears of the deaf and lame man leap. When Jesus said this very scripture out of his own mouth, he 100% admitted right then and there to be God almighty manifest in flesh. Remember Jesus had his own agenda and timeline. He progressively revealed who he was over a period of time. Had he busted on the scene and said YEAH IM HIM (and he could have did that) it would have gone against every prophesy in the old testament concerning Jesus. He had to line himself up with “The Word” to make sure EVERY scripture was fulfilled before he left. Now thats an awesome God.

I LOVE IT!!!!! I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus is God and I love how in Gods timing he always reveals what his word says it will do.

In between being a good Apostolic husband, work, going to church faithfully, and becoming a future father as of this coming September, Im also the leader of The Voices of Pentecost. A gospel ensemble i started almost two years ago. Well, we are in the process of recording our first album and guess what? I wrote all the songs. This blog was just the beginning. After meeting my wife, I found out that I could write music. It took me like 4 months to knock out 13 songs and get them into the studio for full production. After all these years of sining on famous church and community choirs, i finally get to out out doctrinally sound music for the masses.

Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity: Lesson 4 The Old Testament Teaches There Is But One God

The classic expression of the doctrine of one God is found in Deuteronomy 6:4. “Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God is one LORD.” This verse of Scripture has become the most distinctive and important statement of faith for the Jews. They call it the Shema, after the first word of the phrase in Hebrew, and they often quote it in English as “Hear, O Israel, the LORD is our God, the LORD is one.” (See also the NIV.) Traditionally, a devout Jew always tried to make this confession of faith just before death.

In Deuteronomy 6:5, God followed the announcement of the preceding verse with a command that requires total belief in and love for Him as the one and only God: “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” We should notice the importance which God attaches to Deuteronomy 6:4-5. He commands that these verses be placed in the heart (verse 6), taught to the children throughout the day (verse 7), bound on the hand and forehead (verse 8), and writ-ten on the posts and gates of houses (verse 9).

Orthodox Jews literally obey these commands today by binding tefillin (phylacteries) on their left fore-arms and on their foreheads when they pray, and by placing mezuzzah on their doors and gates. (Tefillin are small boxes tied to the body by leather straps, and mezuzzah are scroll-shaped containers.) Inside both types of containers are verses of Scripture hand-written in black ink by a righteous man who has observed certain purification rituals. The verses of Scripture usually are Deuteronomy 6:4-9; 11:18-21; Exodus 13:8-10; and 13:14-16.

During a trip to Jerusalem, where we gathered the above information,1     we attempted to buy tefillin. The Orthodox Jewish merchant said he did not sell tefillin to Christians because they do not believe in and have the proper reverence for these verses of Scripture. When we quoted Deuteronomy 6:4 and explained our total adherence to it, his eyes lit up and he promised to sell to us on the condition that we would treat the tefillin with care and respect. His concern shows the extreme reverence and depth of belief the Jews have for the concept of one God. It also reveals that a major reason for the Jewish rejec-tion of Christianity throughout history is the perceived distortion of the monotheistic message.

Many other Old Testament verses of Scripture emphatically affirm strict monotheism. The Ten Commandments begin with, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 5:7). God emphasized this command by stating that He is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5). In Deuteronomy 32:39, God said there is no other god with Him. There is none like the LORD and there is no God beside Him (II Samuel 7:22; I Chronicles 17:20). He alone is God (Psalm 86:10). There are the emphatic declarations of God in Isaiah.

“Before me there was no God formed, nei-ther shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour” (Isaiah 43:10-11).

“I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6).

“Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any” (Isaiah 44:8).

“I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself” (Isaiah 44:24).

“There is none beside me. I am the LORD and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:6).

“There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:21-22).

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me” (Isaiah 46:9).

“I will not give my glory unto another” (Isaiah 48:11; see also Isaiah 42:8).

“O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth” (Isaiah 37:16). There is only one God, who is the Creator and

Father of mankind (Malachi 2:10). In the time of the millennial reign, there shall be only one LORD with one name (Zechariah 14:9).

In short, the Old Testament speaks of God in terms of being one. Many times the Bible calls God the Holy One (Psalm 71:22; 78:41; Isaiah 1:4; 5:19; 5:24), but never “the holy two, the holy three,” or “the holy many.”

A common remark by some trinitarians about the Old Testament doctrine of the oneness of God is that God only intended to emphasize His oneness as opposed to pagan deities, but that He still existed as a plural-ity. However, if this conjecture were true, why did not God make it clear? Why have the Jews understood not a theology of “persons” but have insisted on an absolute monotheism? Let us look at it from God’s point of view. Suppose He did want to exclude any belief in a plurality in the Godhead. How could He do so using then-existing terminology? What strong words could He use to get His message across to His people? When we think about it, we will realize that He used the strongest possible language available to describe absolute oneness. In the preceding verses of Scripture in Isaiah, we note the use of words and phrases such as “none, none else, none like me, none beside me, alone, by myself,” and “one.” Surely, God could not make it plainer that no plurality whatsoever exists in the Godhead. In short, the Old Testament affirms that God is absolutely one in number.

Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity: Lesson 3 Jesus Is The One On The Throne


There is one throne in heaven and One who sits upon it. John described this in Revelation 4:2: “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” Without doubt this One is God because the twenty-four eld-ers around the throne address Him as “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come” (Revelation 4:8). When we compare this to Revelation 1:5-18, we discover a remarkable similarity in the description of Jesus and the One sitting on the throne. “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8). Verses 5-7 make clear that Jesus is the One speaking in verse 8. Moreover, Jesus is clearly the subject of Revelation 1:11-18. In verse 11, Jesus identified Himself as the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. In verses 17-18 Jesus said, “I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” From the first chapter of Revelation, therefore, we find that Jesus is the Lord, the Almighty, and the One who is, was, and is to come. Since the same descriptive terms and titles apply to Jesus and to the One sitting on the throne, it is apparent that the One on the throne is none other than Jesus Christ.

There is additional support for this conclusion. Revelation 4:11 tells us the One on the throne is the Creator, and we know Jesus is the Creator (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16). Furthermore, the One on the throne is worthy to receive glory, honor, and power (Revelation 4:11); we read that the Lamb that was slain (Jesus) is worthy to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing (Revelation 5:12). Revelation 20:11-12 tells us the One on the throne is the Judge, and we know Jesus is the Judge of all (John 5:22, 27; Romans 2:16; 14:10-11). We conclude that Jesus must be the One on the throne in Revelation 4.

Revelation 22:3-4 speaks of the throne of God and of the Lamb. These verses speak of one throne, one face, and one name. Therefore, God and the Lamb must be one Being who has one face and one name and who sits on one throne. The only person who is both God and the Lamb is Jesus Christ. (For discussion of the Ancient of Days in Daniel 7 see Chapter 7. For discussion of the Lamb in Revelation 5 see Chapter 9.) In short, the Book of Revelation tells us that when we get to heaven we will see Jesus alone on the throne. Jesus is the only visible manifestation of God we will ever see in heaven.

Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity: Lesson 2 – My God, My God, Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me?

This verse (Matthew 27:46) cannot describe an actual separation between Father and Son because Jesus is the Father. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). The Bible states that “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself” (II Corinthians 5:19). Jesus was God the Father made manifest in flesh to reconcile the world to Himself. The cry of Jesus on the cross does not mean that the Spirit of God had departed from the body, but that there was no help from the Spirit in His sacrificial death of substitution for sinful mankind. It was not one person of the Godhead being deserted by another, but the human nature feeling the wrath and judgment of God upon the sins of mankind.

There were not two sons—a divine son and a human son—but there were two natures—deity and humanity—fused in one person. The divine Spirit could not be separated from the human nature and life continue. But in His agonizing process of dying, Jesus suffered the pains of our sins. Dying became death when He yielded His Spirit.

In other words, what Jesus meant when He cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” was that He had taken the place of sinful man on the cross and was suffering the full punishment for sin. There was no abatement of suffering because of His deity. Since all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), all mankind (except for the sinless Christ) deserved to die. Christ took our place and suffered the death that we deserved (Romans 5:6-9). Jesus was more than a courageous martyr like Stephen and more than an Old Testament sacrifice, because He died in our place and experienced for a time the death we deserved. On the cross, He tasted death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). This death was more than physical death; it also involved spiritual death, which is separation from God (II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:14).

No one alive on earth has felt this spiritual death in its fullest degree, because all of us live, move, and have our being in God (Acts 17:28). Even the atheist enjoys many good things such as joy, love, and life itself. Every good thing comes from God (James 1:17), and all life originates from Him and is upheld by Him. But, Jesus tasted ultimate death—the separation from God that a sinner will feel in the lake of fire. He felt the anguish, hopelessness, and despair as if He were a man eternally forsaken by God. So the human nature of Jesus cried out on the cross as Jesus took on the sin of the whole world and felt the eternal punishment of separation for that sin (I Peter 2:24).

We must not assume that the Spirit of God depart-ed from the body of Jesus the moment He uttered the words, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” The divine Spirit left the human body only at death. Hebrews 9:14 says that Christ offered Himself to God through the eternal Spirit. Moreover, Jesus told His disciples with respect to His death, “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that he shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me” (John 16:32). Thus, the eternal Spirit of God, the Father, did not leave the human body of Christ until Christ’s death.

Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity: Lesson 1 – “Let us make man in our image”

Why does this verse use a plural pronoun for God? Before we answer this, let us note that the Bible uses singular pronouns to refer to God hundreds of times. The very next verse uses the singular to show how God fulfilled verse 26: “So God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27). Genesis 2:7 says, “And the LORD God formed man.” We must therefore reconcile the plural in 1:26 with the singular in 1:27 and 2:7. We must also look at God’s image creature, which is man. Regardless of how we identify the various components that make up a man, a man definitely has one personality and will. He is one person in every way. This indicates that the Creator in whose image man was made is also one being with one personality and will.

Any interpretation of Genesis 1:26 that permits the existence of more than one person of God runs into severe difficulties. Isaiah 44:24 says the LORD created the heavens alone and created the earth by Himself. There was only one Creator according to Malachi 2:10. Furthermore, if the plural in Genesis 1:26 refers to the Son of God, how do we reconcile this with the scriptural record that the Son was not born until at least four thousand years later in Bethlehem? The Son was made of a woman (Galatians 4:4); if the Son was present in the beginning who was His mother? If the Son be a spirit being, who was His spirit mother?

Since Genesis 1:26 cannot mean two or more persons in the Godhead, what does it mean? The Jews have traditionally interpreted it to mean that God talked to the angels at creation.2     This does not imply that the angels actually took part in creation but that God informed them of His plans and solicited their comments out of courtesy and respect. On at least one other occasion God talked to the angels and requested their opinions in formulating His plans (I Kings 22:19-22). Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity

As Apostolic Pentecostals, we need to get to know Jesus and form an inseparable relationship with Him to the point where when He speaks, we say YES and yield to His spiritual instructions. I’d also like to submit to you today that you equally need to get to know Satan, and the lies that he has told from the beginning of time. Learning the techniques the enemy uses to gain souls for his kingdom allows you to always stay ahead of the game.

As a Christian, there is going to come a time when you’re going to need to defend the faith and use The Word Of God coupled with the power of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8) to shut the kingdom of Satan down and every lie he has told. Satan uses every doctrine in the bible to taint the mind of all of his followers and ultimately will have you believing a lie, and thinking it’s the truth. We need a firm foundation of who God is.

Let’s first all agree and level the playing field. Would you agree with me that Deuteronomy 6:4 is the first commandment? “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” (Deuteronomy 6:4). I’ll make it even easier for you. Out of Jesus own mouth he says this in Mark 12:29. We don’t see holiness as being number one. We don’t see tithe as number one. We don’t see church attendance and obedience to your Pastor as number one. No, we see the doctrine of One God as being important. Why is this? Because this sets the foundation that if you can get this in your heart, you will want to serve this one God and obey everything this one God tells you to do (which will include holiness, tithe, separation from the world, obedience to your Pastor, etc).

There is no need to go any further in your Christian walk until you settle the matter once and for all. God is one, there is no Trinity, the bible proves this, and this is a mandatory doctrine that is necessary for me to believe in and obey in order to get to heaven.

Do you realize that Satan himself knows there is one God? Read James 2:19. You see, in our world of increasing knowledge, we as a society walk around as though we know more than God. But no one knows more about God than the one who attempted to exalt himself higher than God. We are talking about a fallen creation that was already here before Adam was even created. Come on folks. The enemy has always been lurking around the corner and jumps at any chance he can get to taint the Word of God. Before you know it, you’ll believe a lie and think it’s the truth.

Ask yourself why we don’t have many converts from the Islamic faith. Really, ask yourself. 1,226,000,000 practice Islam worldwide yet 2,039,000,000 worldwide practice Christianity. Help me understand how Christians can outnumber the Islamic faith and still can’t even help convert even a Muslim. I’ll tell you why. The central doctrine of the Islamic faith is that there is only one God. When a Christian tries to explain a Trinity of God(s) to a Muslim, the Muslim gets turned off immediately because they look at this as some type of polytheistic movement. How in the world can you expect me to leave Islam and my one God Allah, and now tell me I must serve a three person Godhead?????? I’m telling you, get this doctrine in your heart and you’ll not only have more Muslims convert, but you’ll get the Hindus too. Hindus have millions of God’s that they serve. You can go a lifetime and not even know all of the gods of your own religion. What a relief to know that a Hindu can now stop praying to multiple gods and just focus on one! Jesus! I’m telling you, the doctrine of one God has saving power to a lost nation.

My purpose in this blog has always been to educate people using the scriptures. Many Apostolics have no clue how to explain certain scriptures to Trinitarians. Trinitarians seemingly always have a hand full of scriptures to prove that there are three. At times they say three gods, at other times the more popular belief is three persons who make up one God yet all are co-equal and co-eternal. My friend, the word “co” can never be used to describe God. You can’t possibly be talking about my God who is the Alpha and Omega. No, not my God who is all powerful and all knowing. Not my God who refuses to share His glory with another. But you see, the enemy knows that if he can get you to believe God somehow is three wrapped in one and destroy the first commandment, he has an opportunity to get you to believing more lies.

I will say it again. It is 100% essential for you to believe that there is One God and that One God is Jesus. This is not up for debate. This IS a heaven or hell issue and it must be brought back into the forefronts of our mind. John 8:23 clearly tells us where Jesus comes from And he said unto them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world.”  John 8:24 then tells us what happens if you don’t believe what Jesus said about Himself. “ said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins. He who? The second person of a fictitious Trinity??? He who? God the son who is sandwiched in-between God the Father and God The Holy Ghost???? He who?? Jesus who has partial power because he shares the rest of His power with 2 others but somehow they all equal one???? NO! If you do not believe that Jesus is God, the Messiah, the one the prophets foretold of that will save people from their sins, then you’re going to clearly die in your sins. Sounds harsh right? Mmmm, not really, because Jesus has given us His Word that is going to show us how simple it is to believe on Him, the only One and true living God.

So this week I’m going to be posting excerpts from Bro David Bernard’s book The Oneness Of God which will teach us how to rightly divide the Word of Truth and explain in very easy to understand terms that there is only but One God. Satan would have you to believe that God is a Trinity, but he is a lying wonder. This week, lets dive deep into the Word of God and learn how to get this precious truth embedded in our hearts.

Your Free To Be A Slave

As I sit here at my desk, I start to begin to think about how good God is. How sovereign He consistently has been to all of us. I am in awe at how God can be God, righteous, holy, all-knowing, and still patiently wait for the unsaved to come to their senses and run to Him. Newspapers tell us of all type of horrible things the world is indulging in. Divorce is at an all time high. Marriage has been redefined by the worlds standards. Christianity is the laughing-stock of America when it comes to reality tv shows and Pastors have no intention of savings souls. What in the world do you do when you live in this type of world?

Friend, I tell you what we can do, we can keep on keeping on. I have yet to regret being baptised in Jesus Name and receiving the infilling of the Holy Ghost. I have yet to see God fail for its impossible for Him to fail. My level of trust in God has matured from milk to meat. My Pastor was sick unto death and God healed him (and I saw the brain scans for myself). Love ones have died, tragedy has happened in the lives of believers yet God has remained faithful, just and true.

My goal this year is to scratch off as many of my needs as possible off the prayer list of my heart and fill my prayer list with the needs of others. My goal is to pull people out of the fiery pit of hell and bring them to a God that can clean them up, turn them around, and place their feet on solid ground. Since being saved, God has fulfilled every need in my life and I cant help but to be sold out to Him. If being saved and sanctified is bondage, then I welcome the chains around my neck and feet so long as Jesus “drags me by my chains” with Him home when He comes back. I, like Paul, welcome being a bondservant (a slave; one who is bound to service without wages). I have been made FREE to be a SLAVE to Christ and that’s something to shout about.

I say all of that to say this, there is not much different between December 31 and January 1st. The world says its a new year. But to me, it’s another day God has kept me and allowed me to simply say THANK YOU for saving me, keeping me, and allowing me to be a “walking advertisement” of what the gospel truly represents. Watch the preachers of L.A. if you want and you’ll be lost if you think “they” are going to point you to God. Instead, why don’t you turn to your Word and obey it and I can guarantee each of you, you WILL gain eternal life.

Change is inevitable. Every 365 days we change years. People change. Places of employment change. Even church doctrine changes. But there is one thing that has not change and will remain forever and that’s HOLINESS. I’m here to declare once and for all that HOLINESS IS STILL RIGHT! Your church doctrine may have changed, you may have dropped holiness standards, and you might feel that it doesn’t take all of that. You may even feel the necessity to keep up with the times and change the name of your church all together to reflect a more socially accepting name. But rest assured, the Word of God has not changed.

You see, to change the Word of God in essence attempts to change GOD HIMSELF. Or did you forget that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. You might have also forgotten that in verse 14th of John chapter 1 it clearly says that the Word became flesh. Ask yourself this question, if God hasn’t changed, why have you? If God doesn’t go there, why do you? If God told you not to put that on, then what makes you big enough to wear it? If God told you not to say that, why did you say it in the first place? Did it ever occur to you that the bible transcends every culture, every race, every nationality, every kindred and every tongue and that same bible crosses generational spans and has yet to change?

Tear Acts 2:38 out the bible if you want, the Word has already been established and cannot be removed. You still must be born of water and spirit to get into heaven. Watch your tv, your movies, listen to your rap and hip hop and rock music if you want, the Word still declares to come out from among them and be ye separate. Men wear your skirts and women wear your pants, God still demands a distinction between male and female. Skip your church services and eat from YouTube Bread Of Life Temple, your still forsaking the assembly of fellowshipping with other Christians. Preach your sermons on prosperity and wealth, the bible still says blessed are the POOR in  spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. We can go on and on and on with scriptural proofs on why the world is still wrong and holiness is still right yet at the end of the day, most will still be non believers. And that’s ok, you have that right.

In 2014 ask yourself what you have done to be holier today than yesterday. How can I be more pleasing to God? What worldly activity can I give up in order to ensure I don’t offend the Spirit living on the inside of me? How much longer can I stay on my knees and pray? How many MORE days can I fast this week? How many more souls can I witness to? How many more bible studies can I give? 2014 is the year of MORE for God, not less. The less you give to Him, the closer you are to not finishing the race. Does a marathon runner cut corners and deviate from the prescribed path? NO! That disqualifies them. Can you effectively do your job by only working half a day and turning in only 50% of the work assigned to you? NO, you’ll loose your job. Treat your Christian walk as such. The more I do internally and externally (including what you might thing is extra credit) the better off I’ll be to finishing the race and hearing well done from our Lord Jesus Christ. This is NOT salvation by works, this is just your reasonable service.

Its Time For Me To Start To Write Again


Oh good, my log in still works. Same password and all.

Ahem, folks, I’ve been away too long! Got married, and now that the dust is settling (and oh how happy I am) I feel the need to write. In my absence I have written 12 original songs. Look for the album summer 2014 if the Lord should say the same.

Yeah, ummm, I think its time for me to start to write. Im getting sick of Satan’s agenda being promulgated all over the internet and the news paper (and Im sure its the same ole same ole for Hollywood tv and movie productions of which I am a proud owner of a BLANK WALL with NO TELEVISION on it…yes Im anti TV…I’ve been convinced). Im double sick and tired of hearing of Apostolic Oneness church’s dropping HOLINESS VALUES and becoming breeding grounds for false doctrine with trinitarian preaching more in “apostolic” pulpits oh which by the way I never saw Paul share any speaking engagements with non believers.

I’m 35 years old and am proud to say that I still believe in Acts 2:38. I still believe in outward and inward standards of holiness. I still believe that you can’t get to heaven with smoke (cigarette smoke) in your temple (your body). Im not the crazy one and I sure don’t need to tell you why I believe it takes holiness to serve a holy God. You tell ME why YOU don’t want to be holy. You tell me why you havent obeyed Acts 2:38 and prefer to live in an upside down world when Jesus has already came and turned the world right side up! That said, I think its time to write again. Meet me back here January 1st 2014 for my first post of the year. Its one of those tried and true messages on HOLINESS!

Spiritual hypocrisy in same-sex marriage debate?

Ephesians 5:31 says “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh”. From a biblical standpoint, marriage is between one man and one women and as a believer of the Bible, I agree! However is it lawful for me to turn one particular biblical mandate and make it a mandate for a mixed group of people who may not believe what the bible says concerning marriage? Think for a moment.  Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and any other religion we can name, The Lord Jesus Christ trumps all religions and because GOD said marriage is between on man and one woman, we must accept it.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

When enforcing rules concerning sin, we must be clear of what audience we are addressing this to. Paul is clearly speaking to the Corinthian church. No where do you see him speaking to any governmental official attempting to make all of these sins some type of national law. Lets read:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

When it comes to doctrine and  a specific set of rules and regulations coupled with complete adherence to the Word of God, the Bible is very specific about who DOES and DOES NOT get to go to heaven. It is 100% factual that those that have not been born of the water and of the spirit clearly cannot and will not enter into the kingdom of God. This is the new birth experience. (John 3:1-7) That being said, we can rest assured that any rule or regulation outlined in the Word of God are only to those that believe, and are NOT for the unbelieving sinner man who has not had their sins remitted in the Name of Jesus and who has no intention of being saved.

Here we have 10 specific sins that are named. All 10 of them will keep you out of heaven. Would you agree? YES! We know this was a saved audience that Paul was speaking to correct? YES! How do we know this, because it says “but such were some of you”. This means that prior to Christ, some of the Saints use to be fornicators and adulterers and thieves etc. We know they are NO LONGER that way because they have been delivered, saved and sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Did Paul in any way lead us to believe that he was talking to any other group other than saved individuals???? Just from this scripture alone, is he in a governmental forum or attempting to speak to lawmakers concerning these sins??? The answer is no, this scripture states the names of SIN (remember, this is what sinners do for a living, they sin, so it’s a fact sinners are not going to heaven). Paul is reminding the church not to participate in these sins. Remember, THE CHURCH! He is not reminding the world of their sins. On the contrary, it IS important for us to show sinners their erroneous ways, but in showing them we must provide hope. We that know The Truth know the way of escape from sin can only be found through salvation in Jesus. Lets not forget that. Crying loud and sparing not is still in order!

Ephesians 5:3-7

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Paul also reminds the Church at Ephesus the same thing. So for the second time we see Paul addressing the CHURCH not a group of law makers or a political party.

Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Paul reminds the church at Galatia of the works of th flesh which will keep you out of heaven. So we have Corinth, Ephesus, and Galatia, all churches Paul preached to and admonished them all of specific sins that will keep you out of heaven. Not one time do we see anyone attempting to make “sin” part of governmental laws. Sure, the governments has their own set of rules and regulations and if you don’t abide you are considered a breaker of the law, and yes it just so happens that some of the governmental laws fall into categories that we as Christians do not partake in, but there should be a clear separation between an unsaved entity (the government) versus The House Of God which holds the bible higher than any other man-made rule or regulation.

Let us be reminded today, as a person that is eligible to vote, you have a right to agree with or disagree with anything the government sets out to do. Its your free will. You have a choice to vote on who leads your city, state, and country. You have a choice to vote on congressional amendments and to voice your concern to government officials concerning certain regulations your do or do not agree with. However lets not fall prey to spiritual hypocrisy by picking and choosing some sins to be implemented into our constitution while leaving out all other sin that will cause you to go to the same hell as the others.

Here is how I see it. We can make rules and regulations for every single sin mentioned in the Bible and instead of letting God be the ruler over world, we can replace God with the government and have the government execute judgement for the House of God and for Sinners. But where will that get us? We can then rename the Bible “The US Constitution” and condemn everyone for not following its rules and regulations. But does that really make sense? Oh yeah, homosexuals? We are going to make a governmental rule and force you to adhere to biblical truth. But how is that really going to help? But remember, we don’t want to be spiritual hypocrites and just stop at homosexuality, we must continue go down the list with the thief, the drunkard, the coveter, the liar and so forth and so on. Right??? You see, even though God gives us a choice to serve Him or your flesh, lets use the Bible to make sure no one gets a chance at free will anymore. Right? WRONG! You see, I can vote till Jesus comes for homosexuals to not have marriage rights, but that’s not going to stop them from loving the same-sex. They are still going to participate in homosexual activity. They are still going to find a way to adopt kids. They are still going to be your next door neighbor. It’s after God delivers them that they will be set free from the bondage of sin and no governmental law can take the place of deliverance the Lord Jesus Christ can give. No law can take the place of salvation found in Jesus alone. No law can stop a person from SIN. Only Jesus can. Do you see how out of hand something like this could be if the above scenarios actually were played out by Christians? When you use God to enforce Biblical mandates on a secular entity such as the government, you miss the whole point in someone coming to God using the free will God gave them.

Your focus should be a few things. First make sure you line up with EVERY (and I mean every) sin that will keep you out of heaven. This is pretty simple because when your filled with the Holy Ghost, He will keep you and lead you into all truth. The Holy Ghost is your ticket to staying out of sin. Next, cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in your life. God tells us what the works of the flesh are, but He gives us a way of escape by telling us to cultivate the FRUIT of the Spirit into our life. In essence, I’ve replaced evil with good. My job is not to stand at the voting poll with my bible in one hand copying scriptures onto the ballot and placing a check mark by it hoping a biblical rule will also become a societal rule for the unsaved. My job is to take that same bible and witness to everyone that I come in contact with admonishing them to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ so they can get saved! The bible is for those that wish to know more about Christ and gain salvation from it, and those who are already saved and want to stay saved by meditating and implementing its truth into their life. The bible is NOT for someone who has rejected Christ and wants no part in God’s kingdom. Yes, sinners will still have their reward in hell because of their disobedience, but its their choice to follow or not to follow the Bible. I can’t force them, I can’t make up  a congressional law forcing to comply with a biblical mandate. The government is NOT SAVED and is going to do whatever they want to do when it’s all said and done. That doesn’t mean you shouldnt exercise your right to vote, what it means is that you cannot put your total trust in the government like you can put your total trust in the Word of God.

Vote because its your right. Vote out of civic duty. Vote because you desire to see certain things come to pass. Lets stop takeing the hypocritical religious “cafeteria” approach and mixing it in with the governments way of doing things.

CHRISTIAN, your passion and desire should be for souls to come into the knowledge of the Truth. You can do this by passing out tracks, knocking on doors, inviting your neighbor and coworkers to church, and giving home bible studies. Your time should not be wasted holding picket signs and being mean to people who don’t see things the way you see them (all you facebook and twitter Saints acting up all over the internet). God can draw all men unto Him through YOU! The holy life you live will allow people to see Jesus in you and cause them to want what you have. The best way to win a sinner is to be a Christian friend to a sinner showing love, compassion, and genuine Christian concern for their soul. You’ll win more souls that way. If we can get sinners to see a need for a saviour like Christ, if we can get them to repent of their sin, get water baptised in Jesus Name, and filled with the Holy Ghost, we would have done our part in winning one more soul to the kingdom of God.

Vote for who and what you want, but the matter was already settled when I voted for King Jesus to be ruler of my life. We might not be able to cause society as a whole to agree with what the Bible says concerning marriage, but we can work while its day and witness to everyone who we come in contact with. Lets not let our “feathers get all ruffled” over one particular sin, our “feathers” should be ruffled concerning ANY subject that will cause someone to be eternally lost. And because I don’t want anyone to be lost, I MUST be about my Fathers business and tackle ALL sin not just one. Saints, this aint no flesh and blood battle, this is spiritual warfare. The good news is WE WIN!!!!! Cause someone else to be a winner too by sharing the gospel with someone today.

Yes marriage is between one man and one woman, but the world cannot receive this simple truth until they are saved. Allow yourself to devout all of your energies concerning this subject into fasting, prayer, witnessing, and conducting home bible studies to win the lost at any cost.

P.S. Now put your picket signs down, stay off facebook and twitter being mean and hateful, and prepare your hearts and minds for an awesome worship service Sunday. While at church, get you some tracks, church cards, and a home bible study kit and start winning some souls for the Kingdom.

WANTED: Parents who will influence their children

Some parents say, “we will not influence our children in making choices and decisions in matters of religion.” WHY NOT? We can rest assured that the ads in all the media will try to influence our children. So will music, literature, the neighbors, and their friends. Building Up Yourselves In Your Most Holy Faith Lesson 1: Consistently Pray In The Holy Ghost

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Since it is the believers sincere desire to be pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ, one must sit down and ask himself the various ways one can please the Lord through faith. We can find this answer in the Word of God.  Jude 1:20 is emphatically clear that we must pray in the Holy Ghost.

Christianity calls for an individual to be spirit filled. This is not an option. Regardless of if you refer to the Spirit of God as The Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit, both terms are one in the same. We are at a big advantage because the Old Testament Saints did not have the Holy Ghost dwelling on the inside of them. We clearly see how hard their lives were. Imagine having to go through rituals year after year, pulling out a big list of do’s and don’t’s. Dont eat shellfish, don’t work on the sabbath day, and the list goes on and on. No longer do we have to follow strict Levitical ceremonial laws. Instead, we still follow the moral laws God gave us and added to that the indwelling of the Holy Ghost which allows us to live a morally victorious life of purity sanctified for the Masters use. So to teach against the Holy Ghost is to teach against the Word of God. Now that we have a “well of water springing up unto everlasting life” on the inside of us, we can use this bountiful water to never thirst again. The Holy Ghost indwelling in the lives of the believer allows us to never thirst again. Jude admonishes us that if we pray in the Holy Ghost, we build up our faith. So in other words, when we are faithless, prayer in the Holy Ghost causes us to have faith. When we need that “quicker picker upper” its prayer in the Holy Ghost that guarantees us to get picked up. If you want to please God while simultaneously building up your own holy faith, we must seek to learn how to pray as the Spirit prompts us.

So how do we pray in the Holy Ghost? First we must learn in 2012 that the Lord Jesus Christ is not the pagan god Santa Claus. We don’t make this big grocery list and sit on his lap telling him everything we want and then expect him to say ok. No sir. Here is a quote I found that I feel would be most beneficial to you:

“The best brief statement I have found of what it means to pray in the Holy Spirit goes like this: It means “so to pray that the Holy Spirit is the moving and guiding power.”The key words there are “moving” and “guiding.” In other words, when you pray in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God is “moving” you to pray. That is, he is the one who motivates and enables and energizes your prayer. And when you pray in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God is “guiding” how you pray and what you pray for. So, to pray in the Holy Spirit is to be moved and guided by the Holy Spirit in prayer. We pray by his power and according to his direction.” (Learning to Pray in the Spirit AND THE WORD by Pastor John Piper)

In other words, we must trust God (here is where YOUR FAITH comes in) to give us the Holy Spirit, and in return move us/lead us to pray what we need to pray for through the Spirit that lives within. When we allow God to do this through us, our faith begins to increase. For example, lets say its time to pray and the Spirit leads you to pray for someone in your church that needs a physical healing. You begin to intercede and pray for that person and then the person tells you how God miraculously healed them. Or better yet, its 1:35pm and God has you drop to your knees to pray for someone who might be in trouble. You don’t know this, but while praying at 1:35pm this person is being held up by a gun, and the robber all of a sudden throws the gun one way and runs the other way. Now that’s what I call praying in the Spirit. These are just extreme examples that I’m using. Notice how praying in the Holy Ghost focuses on the need God wants you to focus on and not the selfish needs our flesh tend to crave.

Let your prayers be shaped by the Word of God. You can guarantee your faith to increase by praying in the Holy Ghost using Gods Word as a manual to victory. “But the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be  uttered” (Rom. 8:26).  The Word of God promises us that the Spirit will make intercession for us. Simply because we are Spirit filled, we can rest assured the Holy Ghost will prompt us and then make intercession for us. To constantly pray in the Holy Ghost simply means to not pray according to your flesh will and desire, but praying according to the prompting of the Spirit in your life. 2012 should be a year for all of us to sit the flesh down once and for all and allow the Holy Ghost to push is into increasing our Faith.

It was my goal to give you a boost in your spiritual walk today. 2011 is gone and 2012 is here. There is still much work to be done. In my view, the only way we can get the job done is by relying on our faith in God. 2011 faith is not enough for us to rely on. We must build  on the faith that we already possess so that we can do greater works for Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Tune in, as next Monday, we will talk about how to stay motivated by keeping ourselves in the love of God. P.O.P. Music Review: Bishop C.E. White Presents Taking it Back to Church


“Join Bishop C. E. White and the St. John Apostolic Church family on this journey down memory lane.  Bishop White sings songs of old that are sure to stir your spirit and put joy in your feet!”

I lived in Atlanta for a total of 7 years, HOWEVER, that was over a 15 year period. (yes, I returned to Atlanta 4 times). While I was in college back in the mid 90s I was a member of St. John Apostolic Holiness Church. Thats actually where I was baptised in Jesus Name long long ago.  I was just 19 years old and a fire-ball.. (Yes, I know I was at Love Fellowship since 14 but we didn’t have a pool for baptism….long story) Bishop White took me down himself in Jesus Name, and you know I came up out the water speaking in tongues and shouting. I sooo remember that day. He told me “Brother, they are gonna call you Jesus Only, but who cares, because it was ONLY JESUS that saved you”.

Now for the album review. I’m floored that there are 2 Praise Breaks on this album. Rightfully so, this church has crazy stomp down church every time they open the doors. I mean the DANCING they do is surreal. While all the songs seem to be in written in the same key, same tune, and same beat, this does not negate the fact that this is not a solid old-time Pentecostal album particularly from the Southern Gospel Region of the United States. I say that because up north in New York City, I didn’t grow up on any of these songs. If you’re looking for that old school Pentecostal Apostolic feel coupled with 2 urban gospel praise breaks, this will surely be the album for you. I’m proud to have once been a part of St. John and look forward to the many positive reviews this album will receive.
