I Was UPCI For The Day!

Today I was UPCI for the day. For my readers who have no clue what that is, it is the United Pentecostal Church International. The United Pentecostal Church International(UPCI) is a multicultural Christian religious organization formed in 1945 by a merger of the Pentecostal Church, Incorporated and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ. Total worldwide membership, including North America, is listed at 4,036,945 In essence, this is an Apostolic-Holiness organization.

I visited 2 churches. YES I churched hop’d a little bit. (You tend to do that when you are seeking a new church home. Now granted, I love the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ but there are “no not one” Church of Our Lords here in Dallas Texas. My first stop today at 11:00AM was North Cities UPC Church www.northcities.orgwhich is pastored by Pastor D.G. Hargrove. My second stop today at 2:00PM was Emmanuel Pentecostal Church which is pastored by Pastor Richard Flowers.

I was greeted so warmly by the Spirit Filled staff of both congregations and am looking forward to returning to both churches in the near future. Everyone was in 100% apostolic standard, the praise and worship was great, and most importantly God was in both service (which was evident by the speaking in other tongues WITH interpretation).

It is very important for us as believers that when you are choosing a church, you choose it based off of The Teachings of the Word of God coupled with the leading of the Holy Ghost (as one church may need your gift more than the next). No longer should we want to be pew warmers. We should seek church homes that are going to allow us to grow and mature in the Holy Ghost eating the meat of God from on high. In this season of my life, I am ready to dive in to the deeper depths of God and cant wait till God strategically appoints me to a ministry that He is pleased with. Granted, there are no perfect churches however we can strive to be perfect because we serve and Perfect and Holy God who only wants the best for us.

God bless Pastor Flowers and Hargrove for your wonderful hospitality. I pray the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow to both ministries in Jesus Name!
