Top Gospel Albums

The game of musical chairs continues atop Billboard‘s Top Gospel Charts, this week, with Mary Mary‘s latest effort, The Sound, returning to the top of the charts. In addition, the album sits at #2 on the Top Christian & Gospel Charts, #22 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Charts, and #74 on the Top 200 Albums Charts. We All Are One (Live In Detroit) from Donnie McClurkin takes the #2 position for the week, while Israel Houghton‘s The Power of One moves to the #3 position. Smokie Norful‘s Live takes the #4 position for the week, with the WOW Gospel 2009 compilation rounding out the week’s top five albums. Other notable chart activity includes the Voices: The Ultimate Gospel Collection compilation jumping 43 spots to #6, James Fortune & FIYA‘s The Transformation moving to #11, and Cry Your Last Tear from Bishop Paul S. Morton & FCBCF moving four places to #20.

In the world of radio, Hezekiah Walker & LFC‘s “Souled Out” celebrates its seventh week as the #1 single at Gospel. “Back II Eden” from Donald Lawrence & Co. takes the #2 position, while “Peace and Favor Rest On Us” from Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers taking the #3 spot. James Fortune & FIYAMarvin Sapp‘s “Praise Him In Advance” rounding out the week’s top 5 songs.
