Top Gospel Albums This Week

Mary Mary‘s latest effort, The Sound spends its sixth consecutive week atop Billboard‘s Top Gospel Charts. In addition, the album sits at #7 on the Top Christian & Gospel Charts, #28 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Charts, and #96 on the Top 200 Albums Charts. The Kingdom, Vol. 1 from Bishop Eddie Long & Friends debuts at #2, while the WOW Gospel 2009 compilation moves to the #3 position. We All Are One (Live In Detroit) from Donnie McClurkin takes the #4 position for the week, Israel Houghton‘s The Power of One rounding out the week’s top five albums.

In the world of radio, Hezekiah Walker & LFC‘s “Souled Out” celebrates its twelfth week as the #1 single at Gospel. “Back II Eden” from Donald Lawrence & Co. retains the #2 position, while Maurette Brown Clark‘s “It Ain’t Over (Until God Says It’s Over)” takes the #3 spot. Marvin Sapp‘s “Praise Him In Advance” holds to the #4 position, with “Peace and Favor Rest On Us” from Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers rounding out the week’s top 5 songs.
