Celebration Of Life Service For Sonya Y. Groover

  1. When I first met Sonya she was this Happy Saint of God and when I saw her at the fellowship service she was still that happy Saint! Sonya I miss you and will always remember everytime I saw you, you would say,”Harold that thang is freshly sliced” lol. OMG I miss you Sonya, but we know you are in a better place and I will see you there when it’s my time! TO the family God doesn’t make any mistakes and He will comfort you! Y’all continue to be in prayers!

  2. I will miss Sonya so much. I’ve known her for a brief time but long enough to know that she had a spirit like no other. It was through her poise and humility that I saw first hand a woman with the glow of God. She’s in a much better place taking in all the sights and sounds of heaven.

  3. This is sad news. Because the world has lost a joyfull soul. So pleasant. She always greeted me with a warm /loving smile. We’d run into each other only at church fellowships. Yet she’d make you feel as if you’ve known her for years.
Let us all pray that the Sovereign God hold the Family Even Closer at this time… Lord help us all to be READY when our journey on earth ends.

  4. I want to thank God for allowing Sonya Groover to be a part of my life. We have been knowing each other since high school. She is one person that I know that has always had a wonderful spirit. We talked a couple of months ago about doing some things in ministry but God had another plan. I will truly missed her smile and her laugh. She was definitely one who change the atmosphere when she came in the room to a positive note. I give my condolences and sympathy to the family and we have to continue to accept what God has allowed. I love you all and God bless!

  5. I graduated with Sonya from Northwestern High School. We were neighbors and I consider her a good friend when I was growing up in Takoma Park Md. Although I have not spoken or seen Sonya in many years I felt part of my childhood was lost when I heard the news of her passing. I will always remember her big smile and positive spirit. My condolences go out to her family and may she rest in peace. God Bless…

  6. Yesterday I couldn’t bear to even go up to the casket because I didn’t want to see my friend there…… I didn’t want to believe it was true….. I kept expecting her to come around the corner so I could see her warm smile and feel her loving embrace. Such a rare yet genuine spirit…. a precious gem we had in our midst…. a true gift from GOD! I can honestly say, I don’t know too many people like her. She was tremendously special and is truly missed.

  7. Sis Sonya I know you at the Pearly Gates. You will be Truly, truly missed.
