International Congress Update: Thursday Night Service

It was good to be home with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Saints and the beautiful prayer veils and hats (smile). While a year does not seem long, I actually have not been to a congress in about 2 or 3 years. Granted, the same Saints usually frequent the same conventions, it was just good to be in that number one more time, Praise the Lord.

Tonight’s service was very powerful. Bishop Lambert Gates from Mt. Zion Apostolic Church of Indianapolis, IN preached from Exodus 3:1 (Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.) He titles his sermon “The Backside of the Desert”! He started off by giving us some great historical facts on the book of Exodus followed by some background information on the author which was Moses. Lets skip to the good stuff. Deliverance broke out amongst the people of God tonight and I literally saw souls filled with the Holy Ghost. I was glad to see this. It’s always a pleasure to witness first hand someone’s new birth experience. I believe as we continue through the rest of the week, more souls will continue to be filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. It is also my prayer that many souls get baptised in Jesus Name as well. God was truly in the midst.

Did we praise God in the dance tonight? You betcha!!!!! We danced until deliverance had no choice but to break out. The choir was good. Praise and worship was done by Greater Refuge Temple of Buffalo NY. They did an excellent job. Also, let us continue to keep our Chief Apostle Bishop Bonner in your thoughts and prayers. He is not feeling the best nowadays, but we know God is a healer. We sent up one ole SANCTIFIED prayer to heavens gates on behalf of Bishop Bonner. I truly believe that according to James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Tomorrow Friday will be a power packed day. Bishop Hezekiah Walker will be preaching for the mid-day service. Also Apostle, Bishop Michael Rogers will be preaching for evening service. Evening Worship  starts at 6:30 so we can have time to worship and praise and dismiss before the midnight musical which starts at 11:00pm (Remember, tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door). Oh, and Elder Kervy Brown Pastor of Greater Deliverance Temple was our guest Psalmist tonight. As always he did a great job.  See yall tomorrow in Jesus Name.

P.S. True Way COOLJC, I saw you in church tonight, yall better come and speak to your old praise and worship leader. Oh yeah, I saw you too Refuge Temple Columbia. Refuge Temple Burlington, NC, I’m also looking for you to come hug my neck. You know I have not seen yall in a long time. Sister F. L. Hamilton, I wanna see you in my office too (smile).
