The Condition Of Churches

What has happened to our churches? When I say “our” I’m not just referring to Apostolic Churches, I am referring to Churches across denominational barriers specifically in North America. A few post earlier I wrote a post about Committed the Seventh Day Adventist acapella group who has consistently sang secular music while proclaiming their Christianity to the world. In general, the General Conference of Seventh Day Adventist shun secular music and admonish their congregants NOT to listen to it nor sing it as it is considered un-Christian. I was typing in a few terms in google to see what people were saying, and the majority of the comments from those who profess Christianity see nothing wrong with single un-married men singing songs that are laced with sexual innuendos all the while thrusting their pelvis in front of  a camera into the homes of millions of viewers (and lets not forget the occasional “THANK YOU JESUS” clips they play before the men come out on stage. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR! I’m concerned for these young men. Perhaps they are only doing whats in their heart. Perhaps their claim is that they were not allowed to sing gospel music. One will never know (or perhaps we will know once the album drops). But it scares me to see someone who has a genuine devotion to singing Christian melodies and all for the almighty dollar and at the flip of a switch, they start to sing secular music.

Well, I found this video of a local Bapticostal Pastor ( I saw Bapticostal because they are Baptist in name but  worship in the Pentecostal tradition yet DO NOT KEEP the standards of the Pentecostal Faith…….how convienent). This video you are about to see (BRACE YOURSELF) is a video that made me cry. Why? Well if you love God as much as I do, you will cry too when you see what they have turned this house of worship into.

First and formost, God’s house in no way shape or form is a club, disco, or bar room saloon. From a scriptural standpoint, “it not written My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Mark 11:15-17″  So we can see that in times past, God’s house which is supposed to be a house of prayer, was turned into a den of thieves. Boy was Jesus angry when He saw what was happening in the House of God.

Ezekiel 8:16 “Finally, he took me to the inside court of the Temple of God. There between the porch and the altar were about twenty-five men. Their backs were to God’s Temple. They were facing east, bowing in worship to the sun.” (The Message Bible). Did we just read this correct???? 25 men took the time to go into the inside court of the Temple and instead of worshipping the One True God, they turned their backs and proceeded to worship the sun?????? SHAME ON THEM!!!!!! But hey, it’s all here quite clear in the Holy Scriptures.

Ooo, look at this scripture “And there is also this: They’ve defiled my holy Sanctuary and desecrated my holy Sabbaths. The same day that they sacrificed their children to their idols, they walked into my Sanctuary and defiled it. That’s what they did—in my house! Ezekiel 23:39 (The Message Bible). WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN????????????? So if we have read this correctly they defiled God’s house by sacrificing their children to idols in the SANCTUARY????? -sigh-

Saints lets remember what we are to do when we enter into the House of  Worship. If you ever start to see this happen in your local assembly, there is no reason to pray about it, get your things and walk out and pray that God directs you to another church QUICK!

We clap our hands in God’s sanctuary!

O clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalms 47:1

We lift our hands in God’s sanctuary!

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. Psalms 134:2

We play musical instruments in the God’s sanctuary!

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high-sounding cymbals. Psalms 150:3-5

We dance before the Lord in God’s Sanctuary!

Let them praise His Name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp. Psalms 149:3

The above video was not to show you what the majority is doing (at least I hope not). It’s to show you the INCORRECT way to worship God in the beauty of holiness. Since the Holy Ghost is still upon the earth, everyone has an opportunity to repent, be baptised in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and receive the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. While I wont say it’s NEVER too late, I will say currently you do have a chance TODAY to accept God’s plan for your life. If you have already been born of the water and of the spirit, let’s go with holy boldness spreading the message of our soon coming Saviour. There is a reason it’s called God’s House and not YOUR house (insert your name). We serve a Holy God. Lets’s not provoke God by tearing up His precious sanctuary with worldly foolishness. If you’re trying to win souls, that’s not the way to do it. With loving kindness have I drawn them (not with coonery and bafoonery……in other words not with worldly tactics).

The floor is now open for your comments on this matter.

  1. Because currently I have a book that deals with this very topic, not so much of the singing issue but overall spirituality of the church, I can only say GET “Zeal”!

We are shocked by various symptoms that occasionally appear but there is a lingering carnality that is often ignored that we fool ourselves to believe that shouting in the aisle means Everything is Alright.

The church world across the board has been watered down spiritually for some time. “The Zeal of Thine House has Eaten Me Up”. It’s a Movement! Apostolic Author. JESUS ONLY!

  2. this is sad, now i totally understand why the ministers at church and pastor told the youth to be careful when we plan youth rallys.

  3. Thank you continually for keeping the holiness standards as well as reminding us to stay in holiness as well as the faith. To God be the glory!!!! Keep me and my family and church family (new life apostolic tabernacle) in prayer continualy and we will pray for you all. Lord bless..

  5. I was shocked when I saw this. The only way I can describe what I saw was definitely strange worship.

  6. This grieves my heart, but I’m not suprised these are the Last days. saintys, hold on to your Holyb Ghost!!!! Keep Him REAl. Jesus saved you be saved, Don’t be ashamed of The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  7. i believe our churches are in desperate need of house cleaning. some authority taken and holiness established among the elders of the church. who are they? and where are they? Do they care to mentor and foster new converts? to lead by example? whos following Jesus and obeying Him.?
