Happy New Year – 2011 ! (Praise Break)

  1. It is always a cool pleasure to watch saints shake themselves loose, let go, let God, and have a great time of rejoicing in the Holy Ghost.

I have no stones of judgement to pass here – – I know all the different Apostolic churches interpret personal holiness issues in different ways – – but it is odd (to me) to see a woman in trousers shout. I’ve never seen that before.

  2. I often hear the old folk say “keep living and dont die” I gurantee, that you are going to see some stuff that just doesnt make any sense in and outside the church. The bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1-2 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,UNHOLY. WE are to be holy people; LOOK HOLY, DRESS HOLY, BE HOLY; it just saddens me, that Im a young man of 25 years old and I never thought that women would wear pants in the church, I’m not sure what salvation or HolyGhost they have but clearly the bible tells us in Leviticus 10:10 “And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean” Its time to bring true HOLINESS back in the church (buliding) and the church (ourselves) how can a woman get us and shout, dance, buck, and fall out in pants? It just doesnt make anysense. I have seen it before, but I just dont understand how they can do it.

    • Hi I love to see people genuinly praise God and am blessed by the video and I want to stick to the scriptures as much as possible. So please commentators can you tell where it says in the Bible that women can’t wear trousers? I know in the OT it talks about genders not wearing each other’s clothing, but as MEN in the OT tended to wear robes i.e. skirts (and in many cultures, even Christian ones today men wear robes, not trousers). then where do trousers come into it? This idea is cultural not scriptural I think. We need to be careful not to mix up the two and burden believers with rules they do not need – there is enough to being righteous/ holy as it is. But if you can show me where the scripture is then I will never wear trousers again…

      • Why do ya’ll assume that church allows women to wear pants? I know of them (a few friends of mine visit there before) and they do not encourage women wearing pants. I do not believe in it at all, and I go to a very strict holiness church. But these people are obviously either visitors, or new to Ramp Church. That being said, my friends have said that a lot of the stuff at that church seems put on… They have praise breaks like this every service. I’m not going to throw any stones at someone’s praise, but it isn’t exactly as authentic as what we’re used to.

  3. Thank you for the good words of wisdom you’ve shared with us, the readers of Apostolic Pentecost, Apostolic Professor! We’ve all heard Apostolic preachers (as long as we can remember) preach that right before the Lord stepped out on the cloud and raptured His church, would be the time of greatest revival the church has ever seen. That’s true! Things we only heard about happening occasionally elsewhere are now commonplace in any Sanctified church as the Lord continues to pour out of His Spirit upon all flesh (see Joel 2:28). But the flip side of the coin is, the old time holiness preachers taught that right before the rapture of the church, as Apostolic Professor said, very perilous times would befall us! Those that could be “shaken” out of the church, out of truth, would be shaken out of it.

Hold fast to your profession of faith! God and His word does not change. If down through the Ages, the explanation of how to be saved was/is Acts 2:38, why do we think that in the last 12-15 years it’s changed?

Before coming to the total revelation of Jesus Christ, I was part of the “big charismatic church” in town. I’m thankful, for there I did sincerely repent and receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost (one cannot receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost without truly repenting). The “rich Christian businessmen” had their golf outings and prayer connect start at the church, the “Ladies Aglow” had their heaquarters there, the DJs from the local Christian radio station were members of the church, etc., etc., etc.

But it was given up (by me) for a church that stood for the name of Jesus, the beauty of holiness, the absoluteness of the Word, and a couple hundred people smaller – – but Jesus was there, and I will forever praise His name for loving and thinking of me enough for allowing me to know Him all His fulness.

  4. Deuteronomy 22:5 – “a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man.” True, today (women’s) slacks are designed for women, but where did the idea come from? A man’s garment.

In Mid-eastern cultures (where humanity was originally created and many Judeo-Christian mores come from) both sexes DID wear robes; However, there was ALWAYS a distinction between a man’s robe and a woman’s robe. It was simple for an onlooker to determine “who was who” by the style, cut and color of the robe.

TRIVIA: Did you know middle eastern men’s robes are where knickers come from? True! In battle, the men would “pull” the material of the robe and put the excess material in their belts – – thereby making it appear as if they were wearing knickers or slacks. That way, it was much easier for them to ride horses and chariots and run, than having robes slow them down.

Eventually, male clothing began to be made in this fashion (knickers). Some of the Ladies complained about having to look at all those ugly, hairy male legs so the “hem line” was lengthened and now we have trousers.

Men and women do have different roles. There is a distinction between the genders. The Lord does not favor one over the other – – He just has specific things for each gender to accomplish in His kingdom.
