Proof There Is One God & Not A Trinity

As Apostolic Pentecostals, we need to get to know Jesus and form an inseparable relationship with Him to the point where when He speaks, we say YES and yield to His spiritual instructions. I’d also like to submit to you today that you equally need to get to know Satan, and the lies that he has told from the beginning of time. Learning the techniques the enemy uses to gain souls for his kingdom allows you to always stay ahead of the game.

As a Christian, there is going to come a time when you’re going to need to defend the faith and use The Word Of God coupled with the power of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8) to shut the kingdom of Satan down and every lie he has told. Satan uses every doctrine in the bible to taint the mind of all of his followers and ultimately will have you believing a lie, and thinking it’s the truth. We need a firm foundation of who God is.

Let’s first all agree and level the playing field. Would you agree with me that Deuteronomy 6:4 is the first commandment? “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” (Deuteronomy 6:4). I’ll make it even easier for you. Out of Jesus own mouth he says this in Mark 12:29. We don’t see holiness as being number one. We don’t see tithe as number one. We don’t see church attendance and obedience to your Pastor as number one. No, we see the doctrine of One God as being important. Why is this? Because this sets the foundation that if you can get this in your heart, you will want to serve this one God and obey everything this one God tells you to do (which will include holiness, tithe, separation from the world, obedience to your Pastor, etc).

There is no need to go any further in your Christian walk until you settle the matter once and for all. God is one, there is no Trinity, the bible proves this, and this is a mandatory doctrine that is necessary for me to believe in and obey in order to get to heaven.

Do you realize that Satan himself knows there is one God? Read James 2:19. You see, in our world of increasing knowledge, we as a society walk around as though we know more than God. But no one knows more about God than the one who attempted to exalt himself higher than God. We are talking about a fallen creation that was already here before Adam was even created. Come on folks. The enemy has always been lurking around the corner and jumps at any chance he can get to taint the Word of God. Before you know it, you’ll believe a lie and think it’s the truth.

Ask yourself why we don’t have many converts from the Islamic faith. Really, ask yourself. 1,226,000,000 practice Islam worldwide yet 2,039,000,000 worldwide practice Christianity. Help me understand how Christians can outnumber the Islamic faith and still can’t even help convert even a Muslim. I’ll tell you why. The central doctrine of the Islamic faith is that there is only one God. When a Christian tries to explain a Trinity of God(s) to a Muslim, the Muslim gets turned off immediately because they look at this as some type of polytheistic movement. How in the world can you expect me to leave Islam and my one God Allah, and now tell me I must serve a three person Godhead?????? I’m telling you, get this doctrine in your heart and you’ll not only have more Muslims convert, but you’ll get the Hindus too. Hindus have millions of God’s that they serve. You can go a lifetime and not even know all of the gods of your own religion. What a relief to know that a Hindu can now stop praying to multiple gods and just focus on one! Jesus! I’m telling you, the doctrine of one God has saving power to a lost nation.

My purpose in this blog has always been to educate people using the scriptures. Many Apostolics have no clue how to explain certain scriptures to Trinitarians. Trinitarians seemingly always have a hand full of scriptures to prove that there are three. At times they say three gods, at other times the more popular belief is three persons who make up one God yet all are co-equal and co-eternal. My friend, the word “co” can never be used to describe God. You can’t possibly be talking about my God who is the Alpha and Omega. No, not my God who is all powerful and all knowing. Not my God who refuses to share His glory with another. But you see, the enemy knows that if he can get you to believe God somehow is three wrapped in one and destroy the first commandment, he has an opportunity to get you to believing more lies.

I will say it again. It is 100% essential for you to believe that there is One God and that One God is Jesus. This is not up for debate. This IS a heaven or hell issue and it must be brought back into the forefronts of our mind. John 8:23 clearly tells us where Jesus comes from And he said unto them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world.”  John 8:24 then tells us what happens if you don’t believe what Jesus said about Himself. “ said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins. He who? The second person of a fictitious Trinity??? He who? God the son who is sandwiched in-between God the Father and God The Holy Ghost???? He who?? Jesus who has partial power because he shares the rest of His power with 2 others but somehow they all equal one???? NO! If you do not believe that Jesus is God, the Messiah, the one the prophets foretold of that will save people from their sins, then you’re going to clearly die in your sins. Sounds harsh right? Mmmm, not really, because Jesus has given us His Word that is going to show us how simple it is to believe on Him, the only One and true living God.

So this week I’m going to be posting excerpts from Bro David Bernard’s book The Oneness Of God which will teach us how to rightly divide the Word of Truth and explain in very easy to understand terms that there is only but One God. Satan would have you to believe that God is a Trinity, but he is a lying wonder. This week, lets dive deep into the Word of God and learn how to get this precious truth embedded in our hearts.
