More Proof Jesus Is God

I love the WORD!

So listen, while John was in prison, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he was the one they have been looking for. Lets read Luke 7:20-22

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

NOTICE, Jesus did not say YES or NO. Instead Jesus crafted his words wisely knowing  that John knew his the old testament scriptures very well, and that when John heard that statement, he would instantly know that Jesus was indeed God manifest in flesh, the one that should come. Here is the proof.  Go with me to Isaiah 35:4-6

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

I love it! Isaiah clearly says that God will come and that the eyes of the blind will be open, and the ears of the deaf and lame man leap. When Jesus said this very scripture out of his own mouth, he 100% admitted right then and there to be God almighty manifest in flesh. Remember Jesus had his own agenda and timeline. He progressively revealed who he was over a period of time. Had he busted on the scene and said YEAH IM HIM (and he could have did that) it would have gone against every prophesy in the old testament concerning Jesus. He had to line himself up with “The Word” to make sure EVERY scripture was fulfilled before he left. Now thats an awesome God.

I LOVE IT!!!!! I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus is God and I love how in Gods timing he always reveals what his word says it will do.

P.S. If you havent already done so, make sure you go to facebook and check out The Voices of Pentecost as our album is about to drop this July. Good doctrinaly sound gospel music with plenty of praise and worship to get you through the day.
